This morning we had the fabulous
experience of riding at 431 km per hour on the magnetic high-speed train out to
airport and back again. The round trip only took 15 minutes. We then went to
the Shanghai Museum and visited the Chinese Jade, Porcelain and Bronze
galleries. Very impressive although the
Chinese culture is the only culture featured in this museum. In the afternoon
we visited some of the major shopping areas of Shanghai, including one that was
like Times Square in New York. We also visited a wonderful “Bazar” in old town,
Shanghai. A highlight of our stay in this huge city was an evening cruise along
the river where we had a fabulous view of the stunning lights on the buildings.
Some of the buildings and towers were so tall that they were surrounded by
clouds.
